Three situations account for most of our Chicopee work. First, mice: spring freeze-thaw cycles expose foundation gaps in the city’s older worker housing and mill-era buildings, and a mouse needs a gap of only about 1/4 inch. We find the opening, treat the activity, and seal it. Check your own sill plate with a flashlight daylight you can see from inside is an open door.
Second, shared-wall infestations. Dense urban neighborhoods combine older buildings and shared walls, so a rat problem in one unit becomes a building problem; rat entry gaps run about 1/2 inch, and we handle rat exclusion alongside treatment. Third, standing water: wet springs can increase standing-water mosquito breeding sites in yards and drainage basins, so we time mosquito control to the season.
We also run ant extermination, termite inspection, bed bug treatment, cockroach extermination, and rodent exclusion across 01020, 01022, 01013, 01014, and 01021. Snow cover can conceal exterior entry points, so we re-check foundations after melt. If any of this sounds familiar, call us before the population grows.
