Pest Service Terms in Massachusetts
Last Updated: 10/25/2026
What Pest Service Covers—and What It Does Not
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to pest inspection and control work that Massachusetts Pest Pros agrees to perform at the property listed in your service confirmation. The written estimate or service plan describes the pests, locations, treatment steps, preparation instructions, and any follow-up included.
Repairs, cleanup, exclusion work, wildlife removal, and treatment of pests or areas not listed require a separate agreement. We will explain any proposed change and obtain approval before adding work.
Pesticides are used only as allowed by applicable law and label directions, including the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act, M.G.L. Chapter 132B, regulations at 333 CMR, and federal FIFRA requirements for EPA-registered products.
Applicators must meet applicable Massachusetts licensing requirements under 333 CMR 10.00. We follow relevant OSHA Hazard Communication Standard requirements, 29 CFR 1910.1200, and applicable container-disposal rules under 333 CMR 13.00. These terms do not replace requirements of the EPA or relevant Massachusetts agencies.
Setting, Changing, or Cancelling a Visit
Appointments are arranged by phone, email, or another written confirmation from Massachusetts Pest Pros. The confirmation identifies the expected service date or arrival window and any access or preparation steps. Please provide safe access to the agreed work areas and tell us about relevant conditions, such as pets, occupants, or restricted spaces, before the visit.
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an appointment. Any cancellation deadline or fee applies only if it was disclosed in your service confirmation or separate written agreement.
Weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other conditions may require us to reschedule; we will contact you to arrange another time. If inspection shows that the requested work differs from the agreed scope, we will explain the difference and seek your approval before proceeding with added work. A request to change the service does not itself authorize additional charges or treatment.
Written Quotes, Charges, and Payment
An estimate describes the work and price based on the information available when it is prepared. It may need revision if an inspection reveals different pest activity, access conditions, property size, or requested work.
Massachusetts Pest Pros will explain a proposed change and obtain your approval before doing work outside the accepted estimate. A quote is not an agreement for services until you accept it and the appointment or work is confirmed.
Payment is due according to the invoice or written service agreement. Any deposit, payment timing, accepted payment method, or applicable fee will be stated there; these terms do not set a price or promise a payment option.
Please raise billing questions promptly and include the invoice or service date so we can review the charge. Payment for completed work does not expand the agreed scope or create coverage for pests, areas, or return visits that were not included in writing.
What to Expect About Service Guarantees
Any warranty, retreatment commitment, or other service guarantee applies only when Massachusetts Pest Pros provides it in writing for the specific service. The written document will state what is covered, the coverage period, any required follow-up, and how to request service. These terms do not create a general warranty or promise a particular outcome, and no coverage period should be assumed when none is stated in your service documents.
Coverage may depend on following preparation and safety instructions, providing access for included follow-up, and avoiding conditions that interfere with the work. A written agreement may also exclude issues caused by new pest activity, untreated areas, building conditions, or actions by others; check that document for its actual limits.
Contact us if you believe an agreed service commitment has not been met. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Daniel Mercer
Service Expert at Massachusetts Pest Pros
I started in pest control working in Boston homes, where old foundations, shared walls, and basement utility lines often give rodents and insects a way inside. I built my work around explaining what I find and how to prevent a repeat problem, then expanded service across Massachusetts to address seasonal issues like spring ants and summer ticks.
Responsibility for Property and Service Risks
Please tell us about known property conditions, prior treatments, sensitive areas, and access restrictions before work begins. Massachusetts Pest Pros is not responsible for pre-existing damage or conditions unrelated to its work, or for effects caused by inaccurate information or failure to follow written preparation and safety directions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
To the extent the law permits, any liability for a claim arising from a particular service is limited to the amount paid for that service. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Pesticide work must follow the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act, M.G.L. Chapter 132B, applicable 333 CMR rules, and EPA-registered product label directions under FIFRA.
Applicator licensing requirements under 333 CMR 10.00, relevant OSHA hazard communication duties under 29 CFR 1910.1200, and container disposal requirements under 333 CMR 13.00 remain applicable; these terms do not waive them.
Questions About These Service Terms
For questions about these terms or a service agreement, contact Massachusetts Pest Pros at (855) 681-0299 or info@massachusettspestpros.top. Mail may be sent to 800 Boylston St, Suite 1600, Boston, MA, United States. Please include your name, service address, and appointment or invoice details when relevant, and do not email sensitive financial information.
We may revise these terms as business practices or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted where these terms are provided; for material changes affecting a scheduled or ongoing service, we will provide notice by a reasonable method, such as email or written service communication.
Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law or a separate written agreement requires otherwise. The terms in effect when you approve a service govern that work, except where a later written agreement or legal requirement changes them. Contact us if you need a copy or clarification.
